PIR modules as supplied by Chartland Electronics, Surrey

The highly stable SGM series of human movement detection modules are widely used in diverse markets and applications, from water saving in toilets to the control of advertising gizmos in supermarkets. These have now been joined by the PSUP series of human absence detection modules, which are ideal for air conditioning, heating and lighting applications where the module can instruct an appliance to switch off, saving power the moment a room is vacated.

All modules are available with snap-over lenses.

SGM Series

SGM5910-CHK-07
Our standard human movement detection module fitted with RE200B dual element sensor with NPN Open Collector output. Suitable for wall mounting.

SGM5915-CHK-01
The low consumption version, offering the same physical properties as the SGM5910-7 but with a lower operating voltage suitable for battery operation. Operating between 2.5 and 7 volts (typically 4 volts), the unit will draw up to 80µA (typically 40µA) with a stabilising time between 15 and 30 seconds.

PSUP43-CHK-12A
With an Open Collector HIGH output, this absence detection module instructs gear to switch off when rooms empty. The tiny 14mm diameter button lens protrudes 3.5mm through the host case and provides fantastic coverage from the in-built RE46B quad pyrosensor on a PCB that measures only 34mm x 20mm. Suitable for wall or ceiling mounting. Choice of standard and wide angle lenses available.

PSUP43-CHK-12B
A low consumption version with Open Collector LOW output, offering the same physical properties as the PSUP43-12, but with a lower current consumption, making it suitable for battery operation.
